Volume 127

Steam Around The Weald Part 2 (60-mins) Price £19.75

The area covered in this archive video film is around the Weald Area of Kent, Surrey and Sussex; from OXTED to BRIGHTON and TONBRIDGE to GUILDFORD, with a visit to TUNBRIDGE WELLS.

Filmed from 1959 to 1967, it contains predominately steam haulage of the many trains that ran on the lines in the area before steam was eliminated. Our film features nearly 30 different classes of locomotives from Schools to Bulleids, K Class Moguls. Maunsell Moguls and H Class tanks. Plus shed visits to EASTBOURNE, NORWOOD JUNCTION and REDHILL.

There are steam specials to the Bluebell line in the 1960s when the Ardingly line was still open and even some Western power with Moguls and Manors on the Redhill line. A feast of long lost motive power in the great days of steam in the south east of England.
